It is very important to the well being of your home to create a flow a water away from your house. Having your gutters clogged can allow water to flow into your fountain and into your basement. It can also cause your sump pump (if you have one) to operate way to much bring down it's overall life.
Here are my tips and tricks to cleaning your gutters:
1 - You'll need a ladder to gain access to the roof edge. It's not recommended to put the top of the ladder against the gutter as it might bend or break. Sometimes however there isn't another option. Use ladder safety - have a partner hold the base to prevent it from moving.
2 - Remove all leaves, twigs, etc. You can use your hands with gloves or a tool like a gutter scoop or trowel.
3 - Use a bucket or trash bag on the ladder to put the leaves, etc in. Or do it like me and just grab and throw. Let the lawn mower eat it up.
4 - More times than now the downspouts are clogged. Especially if you are looking online for help. Take the water hose up with you to the gutter drain with a unbent clothes metal hanger. Don't use full pressure of water out of the hose. Older gutters may break under the water pressure. Push the wire (unbent clothes hanger) down the down spout and create some air flow. Put the water from hose into down spout and keep jabbing the wire until it breaks free. If the clog seems to be farther down - use a small plumbers snake, but be gentle.
5 - Don't use a leaf blower - that is just crazy. Carrying that heavy machine up a ladder....! I saw a neighbor doing that and had my phone ready to call 911 for him - :).
6 - let the hose run in the gutter for a bit and just check to make sure it is flowing openly.
7 - install some gutter guards! They have some very well priced ones at Home Depot that just click in. You snap to the front of the gutter then push in under your shingle. No nailing or screwing in required. This will save you the headache every season of having to ladder it up to the roof.
8 - Make sure the water is flowing away from your house from the bottom of the down spout. If not install a dry well - Click below to learn how!

How to Upgrade and Install RAM Memory in your PC
Adding more Memory or RAM (Random Access Memory) is one of the easiest ways to speed up your computer. It is a pretty cheap way to make your old computer a lot faster – prices on RAM has come down. Most people recommend 2 gig of RAM for totals programs and games.
Adding RAM is easy, but getting the right type of ram for your motherboard sometimes isn’t. Paying $30-50 for a “Geek Squad” guy to plug in new RAM just isn’t worth it.
DYI Time!
The Right Type of RAM is Critical
First all you have to do is find out how much RAM memory capacity does your motherboard support for installing, how much each slot can take and how many RAM slots it has.
Best and easy way for doing this is get your motherboard manual and read, if you lose it go to your motherboard manufactured site and easily you can find out the information about your motherboard.
How much memory you’re going to install? Add as much as possible memory amount as it cheap to buy larger RAM memory once, than buying again and again.
To know how much memory currently installed in your computer Go to start >> Control Panel and open System, in the General tab you can have fully information about your system.
Installation of RAM Memory cards
You have to shut down your computer and unplug it first.
Open a one side of your casing (side that hasn’t metal part, which bolt your motherboard) and check for the RAM ports. Those should be near to computer processor.
Every computer has at least two RAM slots located near to microprocessor. Sometime you need to unplug inner cables for make some space for installing the new RAM. Unplug any cable carefully and remember to where those are connected (this isn’t hard folks – everything has it’s spot), most of the time you’ll have to unplug the cables of hard drive, cd-rom and floppy.
Again remember how those are connected and don’t be afraid that is the most important thing here. The first thing I ever did on a PC was upgrade the RAM – after that I moved on to other things and eventually I can build or rebuild my own system!
Remove the RAM from its anti-static bag and hold it by the edges to have as little contact with the working parts as possible.
In RAM slot you can see two locks at edges of both sides, dilate them and let’s begin with installing process.
Line the memory up with the motherboard slot. You can see there is a small gap middle of the RAM. Line up the RAM as it best fitted with the RAM slot and check the middle gap to ensure you’re installing RAM correctly.
Now gently and then increase the pressure until the memory goes into the slot and fitted. Make sure that the memory is seated correctly. Both locks we dilated before should lock automatically. RAM should be fitted properly into ram slot unless it will be burn.
Again check your RAM and make sure you installed it correctly, Replace all the cables you have unplugged and close the case.
Boot your computer back and windows will automatically detect the installed RAM and start using it. Again make sure your new RAM is working go to system and check whether the windows identify your newly installed RAM correctly.

And this one belongs to Prozac!
Cincinnati Red's Joey Votto returned to the field tonight versus his hometown Toronto Blue Jays. It was in a losing cause for the Reds, but they did get their slugger back into the lineup.
In a great interview with George Grande (one of the Reds/Fox Sports TV personalities) he put everything out into the open. For so long it was all speculation of why Joey Votto was on the DL. Most people just assumed it was drug or alcohol related. It is actually a serious case of depression and anxiety attacks.
If you have never experienced a anxiety attack it feels like you are losing control of your mind and body. The chest pain and dizzyness will send most to the doctor and maybe even the hospital. Try hitting a 90-95 mph baseball feeling great - let alone with these mental issues.
Joey went on in the interview to expain that the death of his father in the off season as the cause of his problem. His father was only 53 and left behind Joey and 2 of his young brothers that where in the dugout tonight with the Reds.
I hope that Joey will turn this into something positive on the field. His dad being his biggest fan would have probably wanted him to continue what he was born to do.
Everyone has lost some body in their life and everyone deals with it in their own way. Everyone is allowed to deal with it in their own way. Hang in there Joey!
